Promoting Wellness
History
Lantern Med was created in 2022 as a passion project by Dr. Meera Garcia to offer Mind-Body Health Management, Psychedelic-assisted PsycheTherapy, and Wellness Counseling. Dr. Garcia graduated from Duke University School of Medicine and is a board-certified physician with more than 20 years of clinical practice experience. She also has immense experience in guiding patients through psychological and physiological analysis, processing, and recovery. The unfilled need within our communities for health mentoring, mental health support, and integrative wellness coaching became her rallying cry for creating this unique medically-based wellness-promoting practice.
The practice is web-based as well as in the retreat (non-clinical) setting. Health intakes, consultations, coaching, and mentoring may occur via tele-modes (phone calls, zoom meetings, FaceTime, etc.), while psychedelic-assisted therapy can be scheduled in-home, outdoors, or in retreat settings. The sessions can be individually-focused or with a group approach.
